NHRA New England Nationals Update

To Our Loyal New England Dragway Fans:
All of us at New England Dragway understand the COVID-19 outbreak is currently disrupting your lives. We are sensitive to the concerns and uncertainty felt by individuals and businesses as our nation combats what we all hope to be a short-term outbreak. We are closely monitoring the situation, as well as guidance available from state and local officials. We remain confident life will return to normal and we remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for racers and race fans alike.
We recognize NHRA’s decision to cancel the 2020 New England Nationals is a huge disappointment to our loyal fans. It's a significant disappointment for New England Dragway as well. We were initially approached by NHRA to consider the possibility of postponing the event. During a special meeting of the Board of Directors, representatives of the NHRA outlined their concerns and expressed that the issue was a time sensitive matter. With the event being five months away, the Board intended to gather more information, allow the situation to develop, and make an informed decision closer to the time of the event. The Board felt a decision to postpone was premature and notified NHRA that it wished to hold off on making a decision for 30 days. Obviously, that did not happen. We want to stress the decision to cancel the event was made entirely by NHRA and against the wishes of New England Dragway.
Even though this was not a New England Dragway decision, we apologize to those who have supported us over the years. We put significant effort into our events to provide an unmatched experience. Your passion and loyalty have helped us provide the best motor sports entertainment possible. You can be assured we will continue to work hard to ensure that tradition continues here at New England Dragway.
We also want to thank our brave first responders, exceptional medical professionals, and the resolve of each and every one of you as we overcome this challenge and work to restore normalcy to our lives.

New England Dragway Rain Check & Refund Policies
ALL TICKET PURCHASES ARE NON REFUNDABLE

All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to weather conditions, schedule changes, event delays, or event cancellations. New England Dragway events are conducted rain or shine, and all attendees assume the risks associated with weather-related interruptions.

GENERAL TERMS

The original ticket must be retained and serves as proof of purchase for any Rain Check.

No duplicate tickets or Rain Checks will be issued for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets.

In situations where the original ticket will not be honored, instructions will be provided at the event.

Rain Checks have no cash value and are non-transferable unless otherwise stated.

Cancelled points events will not be rescheduled.
STREET NIGHT (WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY)
-
A Street Night event is considered complete after two (2) hours of racing, whether consecutive or cumulative.
-
If less than two (2) hours of racing are completed, a Rain Check will be issued.
-
If two (2) hours or more of racing are completed, no Rain Checks will be issued.

Rain Checks are valid for thirty (30) days from the event date and may be used for another Street Night or comparable weekly program event, subject to availability.
WEEKEND RACING / TEST & TUNE / NON-POINTS EVENTS
Rain Check issuance is based on total racing time completed:

Less than one (1) hour of racing → Full Rain Check

One (1) hour of racing → Rain Check reduced by $20
-
Two (2) hours or more → Event considered complete; no Rain Checks
ET POINTS EVENTS
Rain Check eligibility is based on event progression:

One (1) round of time trials completed → Rain Check reduced by $20
-
Two (2) rounds of time trials completed → Rain Check reduced by $30
Additional provisions:
-
A points race is considered complete when any eliminator completes one (1) full round of competition.

If completed, no Rain Checks will be issued for that eliminator, and purse distribution and points will be awarded per the current points program.

If an eliminator has not completed one full round, the original ticket will serve as a Rain Check.

If a Rain Check is issued, no points (including qualifying points) will be awarded for that class.
-
If two (2) rounds of time trials are completed, no spectator or crew Rain Checks will be issued.

Rain Checks are valid for sixty (60) days from the event date.
MAJOR EVENTS
(Includes but not limited to Jet Cars, Night of Fire, 603 Diesels, and other headline programs)

If a major event is interrupted and the first round of Professional Racing or headline entertainment has NOT been completed, the original ticket will serve as a Rain Check.

If the first round of Professional Racing or headline program has been completed, the event is considered complete and no Rain Checks will be issued.

Rain Checks are valid for one (1) year from the event date.

Tickets must be exchanged within one hundred eighty (180) days of the original event date or the Rain Check will be forfeited.
FINAL DETERMINATION
New England Dragway, Inc. reserves the sole and absolute right to determine event status, scheduling, completion, Rain Check eligibility, and all related matters. All decisions are final and not subject to dispute. New England Dragway, Inc. is not responsible for the appearance, performance, or any breach of contract by any drivers, teams, or scheduled participants.
